For our Parts Retail Department, we are looking for a:

WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR

Description

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods in collaboration with the supervisor. This role involves coordinating shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the safety and proper housekeeping of the warehouse.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Plan, coordinate and monitor goods receipts and deliveries, storage, loading, unloading, unpacking, wrapping of cargo and dispatch of goods based on customers need by date;
• Ensure orders are being processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customers timescales/requirements;
• Monitor and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage;
• Ensure received items are not damaged and report discrepancies;
• Record and maintain communication on all goods receipt shortage issues to the Purchasing team;
• Coordinate parts returns;
• Ensure stock accuracy in order to highlight minimum and excess levels and therefore prevent part shortages compared to physical count and ERP system;
• Ensure that all warehouse equipment is in full operational capacity to achieve daily targets;
• Ensure maintenance of warehouse storage area in accordance with contamination control standards;
• Coordinate transport of goods to warehouse, repair shops or customers;
• Support with the distribution of goods and materials in the warehouse;
• Coordinate reman core inspections;
• Handle battery claims;
• Actively resolve customer concerns;
• Keep track of and communicate performance reports based on scheduled frequency and aligned structure.

Education and/or Experience

• Secondary level education (VWO,HAVO, NATIN) with 2-3 years’ experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
• Experienced/licensed truck driver is an advantage.
• Certified/licensed lift-truck operator is an advantage.
• Experienced in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. NAXT)
• Must have knowledge of basic warehouse location management.

Reporting Structure

• The Warehouse Coordinator reports to the Acting Parts Superintendent.

Work Schedule

• 45 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
• The base work location is at Surmac Paramaribo and the working hours are from 7:00 – 16:00.
• Availability required for work at the various Surmac locations.
• Availability outside standard working hours, if required.
