For our Service department, we are looking for a:

PRODUCT SUPPORT MANAGER

Description

The Product Support Manager is responsible for leading the effort within the Dealership to grow revenue of parts sales and services and maximizing the quality of service by quickly responding to customer needs and customer satisfaction by supporting the account managers in maintaining contacts with customers in the drafting of Parts, Service programs and contracts. Also drawing up and implementing quality programs to improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the activities of the Parts and Service department.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Coordinate and monitor Surmac's Product Support performance, including recommending actions, improvement programs, following audit recommendations and periodically reporting Product Support status reports with the focus on achieving optimal results;

· Advise on the development of promotional programs and contracts for parts and service concepts to support the account managers;

· Include, communicate and administer Product Support Divisional actions aligned with the MDoF strategy of Caterpillar in the annual business plan of the departments;

· Evaluate and approve the annual departmental budgets and forecasts of the Parts, Product Support Sales and Service Department;

· Ensure reporting to Caterpillar;

· Ensure Compliance with the terms and conditions in the agreements between SURMAC on the one hand and Caterpillar and other suppliers on the other as well as

compliance with the conditions set out in the agreements with Caterpillar are included (particularly in the fields of HSE, Contamination Control, Parts, Service, customer satisfaction, reporting, learning and people development, education etc.);

· Determine together with department managers what actions need to be taken to manage assets (plant and equipment, logistics, people, digital resources and management systems);

· Manage the pricing processes together with department managers;

· Manage the performance of managers, carry out appraisals of managers and define learning plans according to Caterpillar Global Dealer Learning guidelines;

Education and/or Experience

· Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business Management in combination with 5-8 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Experience in the heavy equipment industry is a pre.

· Experience within Parts or Service Departments.

· Experience in a leadership role or managerial experience.

 

Reporting structure

The Product Support Manager reports to the Director Operations.

 

Work Schedule

· 45 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

· The work location is located at Wanica and the working hours are from 7.30 – 16.15.

· Availability required outside standard working hours if deemed necessary.

· Availability required for work at the various Surmac locations.
