Protection against theft

For each earthmoving company machines are the most important capital goods for the existence of the company. That is why every company wants to protect its machines as best as possible against theft and vandalism. For this purpose, Caterpillar introduced a (key) system called MSS that sees to it that your CAT is secure at all times.

What is the advantage of the security system?

• Special electronic keys (with unique ID) so that the machine can only start with the right key.
• It reduces the chances of theft and vandalism, which is advantageous to your insurance policy.
• With this security system, you decide when the machine operates. For example, you have the option to decide that the machine cannot be operated after a certain time or on a certain day without MSS key (which comes in handy when leasing a machine).
