PRODUCT SUPPORT & SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Description
The Product Support & Sales Representative for Construction Industries (CI) represents the Dealer’s Product Support and Sales Departments in a sales capacity to promote and sell Parts products, Dealer services, and Product Support solutions.
The Product Support & Sales Representative will also cover an assigned territory establishing and maintaining customer relationships that focus on winning both immediate service needs, and long-term maintenance agreements. The Product Support & Sales Representative ensures quality customer service activities designed to enhance sales volume and excel in customer satisfaction.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Proactively manage an annually assigned account base within assigned territory;
· Apply good time and territory management practices while implementing a coverage plan;
· Perform basic machine inspections to generate opportunity for customer interaction and sales;
· Follow up on asset generated sales leads;
· Prospect for new customers and new parts/service revenue sources;
· Build collaborative relationships and ensure business integrity is maintained;
· Sell parts, service, condition monitoring, Preventive Maintenance (PM) products, Customer Value Agreements (CVAs), and other Dealer services to customers within a specified territory;
· Employ a “consultative selling” approach to identify and manage customer expectations.
· Keep customers informed of parts order and service work status;
· Educate customers regarding Equipment Management Solutions (EMS) to affect lowest owning and operating costs;
· Negotiate win-win outcomes to customer issues;
· Maintain accurate customer equipment information within DBS or ERP system;
· Identify and report on incremental opportunities for future sales both within Product Support as well as other areas of the Dealership;
· Report on competitive parts, service, and machine information and activity;
· Provide input/information into planning and budgeting process;
· Support New Product Introduction (NPI);
· Prepare quotes, sales contracts, and related paperwork necessary to close a deal.
Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration in combination with three (3) years’ experience in a product support sales and service environment.
· Experience in customer service is preferred.
· Good comprehension of the language Portuguese and Chinese (Mandarin) is an advantage.
· Experienced in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, Outlook).
Reporting structure
The Product Support & Sales Representative reports to the Product Support & Sales Supervisor.
Work Schedule
· 45 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
· The work location is located at Paramaribo and the working hours are from 7.00 – 16.00.
· Availability required for work at the various Surmac locations and customer locations.
· Availability required outside standard working hours if deemed necessary.
