Hydraulic Excavator Safety & Operator Training Program - Level 1

This curriculum is designed for entry-level individuals interested in a career as a Heavy Equipment Operator. This course provides a base foundation for development of skills for safe and proficient operation.

Hydraulic Excavator Safety & Operator Training Program - Level 2

This advanced level operator course is a sequel of the level 1 HEX Operator and Safety course. The course builds on the knowledge and skills acquired during the level 1 course and further extends this knowledge and these skills as required by the Mining and Construction Industries.

Hydraulic Excavator Safety & Operator Training Program - Level 3

The Level 3 HEX Operator and Safety training is an expert level operator course that builds on the knowledge and skills acquired during the level 1 and level 2 HEX Operator and Safety courses. This course focusses on: 1. Increasing operating efficiency 2. The use of technology available on both Mining and Construction Hydraulic Excavators.

Forklift Truck Operator Safety Training

Participants will be given an introduction to lift trucks where they will learn the fundamentals of the lift truck, principles of balance & stability, pre-operational inspection, safety guidelines for operating a lift truck. They will also learn safe load handling techniques, safety rules for fueling internal combustion and battery powered lift trucks and efficiently conduct lift truck operations.

Aerial Work Platform (AWP) Operator Safety Training

Participants will learn safety precautions, user responsibilities, machine preparation and inspection, machine operation, emergency procedures, machine specifications and operator maintenance, the inspection and repair log. They will learn the purpose and use of manuals, Pre-Inspection, factors affecting stability, workplace inspection, operator warnings and instructions, and conduct actual operation of the AWP.

Telehandler Operator Safety Training

Participants will learn machine and job site safety, proper machine maintenance, location and function of all components of the operator compartment, and proper start-up and shutdown procedures. Participants will learn the telehandler operation at an entry-level with a focus on safely moving the machine from one point to another while following all safety requirements and applying the use of the load chart.
