For our Nickerie branch we are looking for a:

SERVICE TECHNICIAN (Nickerie)

Description

The Service Technician is responsible for providing technical repair and service work on different type of machines & brands (Caterpillar, DAF, Massey Ferguson etc.) either at the Nickerie Branch or in the field.

Job Duties/Responsibilities include, but are limited to:

· Diagnosing, maintaining, servicing and repairing equipment in the shop and in the field;

· Accurately compile parts lists needed for repair and service work through our online parts & service websites of various brands.

· Communicate parts lists to the supervisor to ensure all necessary parts are correct and available in a timely manner for the tasks;

· Perform housekeeping and ensure compliance with contamination control guidelines;

· Prepare diagnostic or service reports.

Education and/or Experience

· Minimum LTS, NATIN/ AMTO or MBO (Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering) diploma with at least 1-3 years related experience and/or training;

· Experience in trouble-shooting and repairing various equipment;

· Experience with Caterpillar equipment is an advantage;

· Must have basic computer skills (Excel & Word).

Reporting structure

The Service Technician (Nickerie) reports to the Nickerie Branch Coordinator.

Work Schedule

· 45 hours in a week, from Monday to Friday

· The work location is located at Nickerie and the working hours are from 7.00 – 16.00.

· Availability for work at various Surmac locations.

· Availability outside standard working hours if required.
