For our Business Improvement & Quality department, we are looking for a:

QUALITY BUSINESS PARTNER

Description
The Quality Business Partner is responsible for supporting the execution of the annual
Business Improvement & Quality Workplan by working on continuous improvement, risk
management and compliance to support the realization of strategic objectives and mitigate
operational and compliance risks within the company.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Monitor the different improvement projects, activities and training across the
company (e.g. ISO and Lean Six sigma);
• Support quality team members of the departments with screening their
documentation of the work procedures (SOPs and WIs);
• Plan and monitor the project status with the project groups, and its implementation
within Surmac;
• Monitor and update risk registers and assist management in evaluating and assessing
the risks;
• Participate actively in audits, inspections, observations and investigations of quality
incidents and ensure timely and complete implementation of corrective actions and
preventive actions (CAPA);
• Facilitate the continuous Risk Assessment process changes, monitors, and reports on
the effectiveness;
• Monitor the revision and update process of quality documentation and provide
support to departments in developing their documented information according to
which work is performed and processes are managed;
• Ensure the central document control is up-to-date; monitor expiration of
documentation and escalate timely revision;
• Perform internal audits, report audit findings according to the internal audit
procedure and monitor follow-up of actions.

Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance or Applied Technology such as
Mechanical Engineering or IT or equivalent level with 2-3 years’ proven working
experience in auditing and improving processes, management- and control systems
to improve operational metrics in compliance with industry standards and
continuous improvement tools.
• Experience in the supply chain within the heavy equipment industry or comparable
industry is an advantage.
• Proven experience in writing policies and procedures.
• Experienced in Power BI.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015; ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement tools such as Lean- Six Sigma and Kaizen.

Reporting structure
The Quality Business Partner reports to the Business Improvement & Quality Manager.

Work Schedule
• 45 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
• The base work location is at Surmac Wanica and the business hours are from 7.30 –16.15.
• Availability required outside standard working hours if deemed necessary.
• Availability required for work at the various Surmac locations, including Surmac
Guyane if necessary.
